My house is under construction

This has been on our wish list since we moved in since we have the nasty dirty berber carpet. It was coming up at several spots and just wouldn't come clean no matter what we tried. Also, with Madi crawling everywhere her legs would be so dirty from just crawling on that carpet...nasty. Both Jared and Madison have bad allergies and have to do breathing treatments (not at the moment) so our plan is to eventually get rid of all the nasty carpet. Brian was our guardian angel and came to save Kevin and helped him all DAY. The living room is done except all the trim and transitions (Kevin has to decide exactly what ones he wants) so that is hard b/c I have rugs where all the transitions should be to keep Madi from getting hurt. He will finish it by this weekend though I am sure...he doesn't like to start projects he can't finish. So his next project is finish that and do the playroom (or dining room that we use for a playroom) this weekend maybe. Then he will do our bedroom at some point and tile the laundry room floor. He has all the stuff (except laundry room tile stuff) so it is just a matter of getting it done. The wood floors match exactly what is in our kitchen and and entry way so we know we love it. We got a really nice area rug for the living room at Target today (that cost a fortune...come on now...$220 for an area rug) but we had to have one.
I really like it but hate the mess and process of doing it! And that part is so not over for a while. Oh well...what we do to make our lives and homes the way we want it...and the time we wait to get it done.
